    2 Days Exploring Mount Hanang: Trekking Tanzania’s Volcanic Gem

    Mount Hanang is an inactive Volcano found in the Eastern arm of the Rift Valley with an altitude range between 1860 msl to 3458 msl
    with various vegetation zones such as montane forest, bushland, grassland, thicket, moorland and heath.

    The Mount Hanang nature forest reserve is a major water source with about 5 rivers and some seasonal streams which supply water to the neighboring Hanang District and Katesh. There are also lakes which are part of the reserve, such as Lake Basotugang and Lake Gendabi, which are Soda lakes.

    Day 1
    Depart from Arusha, early in the morning, to Mount Hanang. Upon arrival, we will have lunch at Katesh before we start our trekking up to the top of Mount Hanang, where we will camp for dinner and overnight
    Day 2
    This morning you will watch the sun rise from the summit of Mount Hanang and enjoy the exceptional views of the Rift Valley and beautiful scenery with a picnic breakfast on the mountain before making our way down and drive towards Tarangire National Park back to Arusha Town.
