Day 1
Arusha – Tarangire National Park
Depart Arusha after breakfast and drive to Tarangire National Park, known for its massive elephant populations, ancient baobab trees, and diverse wildlife. Enjoy a full-day game drive as you explore the open savannahs, riverine forests, and swamps. Tarangire is also rich in predators, including lions, leopards, and cheetahs, along with over 500 bird species. After a picnic lunch and more game viewing in the afternoon, proceed to your lodge in Karatu area for dinner and overnight.
Day 2
Ngorongoro Crater – Lake Natron
After an early breakfast, descend 600 meters into the spectacular Ngorongoro Crater, the world’s largest intact volcanic caldera. The crater is a haven for wildlife, including elephants, lions, hippos, zebras, buffaloes, and the critically endangered black rhino. Enjoy a full morning game drive and a picnic lunch at the hippo pool. In the afternoon, begin your scenic drive north toward Lake Natron, located in the Great Rift Valley beneath the active Ol Doinyo Lengai volcano. Arrive in time for sunset and relax at your lodge.
Day 3
Lake Natron Exploration
Spend the day exploring the otherworldly beauty of Lake Natron, one of Africa’s most alkaline lakes. This surreal landscape is famous for its flocks of lesser flamingos, who breed on the lake’s caustic shores. Go for a guided hike to the Engaresero Waterfalls, passing through canyons and pools fed by underground springs. For the adventurous, a cultural visit to a nearby Maasai village can be arranged. The afternoon is free to relax or take a walk along the shoreline for photography and birdwatching.
Day 4
Lake Natron – Arusha
After breakfast, begin your drive back to Arusha with scenic stops along the way. You'll pass through Maasai steppe and Rift Valley landscapes, enjoying views of mountains and open savannah. Arrive in Arusha in the afternoon, where your safari ends with a drop-off at your hotel or the airport for your onward journey.
