Day 1

Arrival – Dar es Salaam to Selous Game Reserve

Welcome to Tanzania! Upon arrival in Dar es Salaam, meet your professional safari guide and begin your adventure with a scenic drive to Selous Game Reserve (now part of Nyerere National Park), the largest protected area in Africa.
Afternoon: Check in at your lodge set on the banks of the Rufiji River. Activity: Enjoy a sunset boat safari, spotting hippos, crocodiles, and a variety of birdlife. Evening: Dinner by the riverside under the stars.

Safari in Selous Game Reserve

Spend two full days exploring the untamed wilderness of Selous, home to diverse habitats and rich wildlife populations.

Day 4

Selous – Mikumi National Park

Enjoy a morning game drive in Selous before journeying north toward Mikumi National Park, located at the northern edge of the Selous ecosystem.

Day 5

Mikumi National Park Safari

Experience a full day of game drives in Mikumi, often compared to the Serengeti for its open plains and wildlife abundance.

Day 6

Udzungwa Mountains National Park

Experience a full day of game drives in Mikumi, often compared to the Serengeti for its open plains and wildlife abundance.

Day 7

Udzungwa – Ruaha National Park

After breakfast, drive westward to the wild and remote Ruaha National Park, Tanzania’s largest national park and one of its most spectacular.

8 - 9

Game Drives in Ruaha National Park

Spend two immersive days on safari in Ruaha, a hidden gem offering solitude and spectacular game viewing.

Day 10

Ruaha – Flight to Dar es Salaam

After breakfast, transfer to the airstrip for your scheduled flight back to Dar es Salaam, where your safari ends. Depending on your departure time, you may continue with a beach extension to Zanzibar or fly home.
