2-Day Safari: Explore Ngorongoro Crater & Arusha National Park

Day 1: Arusha – Ngorongoro Crater

The Ngorongoro Crater is an immense, unbroken caldera that was formed when a volcano erupted millions of years ago. The elevated structure encourages the animals subside within the crater which means there is a high possibility of spotting every member of ‘The Big 5’. The powerful group comprises of buffalo, lions, rhinos, elephants and (leopards, very difficult to find) You can expect to see other wildlife including zebra, hippos, wildebeest and hyenas. The flamingos will lounge gracefully on the banks of the Soda Lake whilst the vultures can be found scavenging for the discarded prey of a predator. Goose and storks are amongst some of the other bird species, in the middle of the game drive you will stop for a picnic lunch at a small lake within the park. The lake is home to many hippos and migratory birds, so you will enjoy the visit! Our guides are highly skilled and their ability to track down animals is impressive. This level of expertise is not easily acquired. Your trip will come to an end in the late afternoon and we will proceed to Arusha town for Dinner and overnight stay

Day 2 : Arusha Town – Arusha National Park ( only 30 – 45 minutes drive to the park and about 1 hour from the park to Kilimanjaro Airport)

Pick up at 7:30 AM from your Hotel in Arusha & depart for Arusha National Park. you will have picnic lunch and game drive in the Park. The park is at the base of Mount Meru, which is good for climbing. It has a range of habitats including forest – home to the black-and-white colobus monkey – and is excellent for birding. Several lakes often host flocks of flamingo. The park’s appeal is mainly its scenery. The habitat diversity spans from montane (mountain) rain forest to moist savannah to alpine moorland. after the game drive, you will head to the airport.
