Zanzibar is an island paradise, and the beach is drenched in a golden haze. The crystal waters flow in a celestial-blue calmness from the horizon to the shore. The horizon itself is a thin seam where the glowing sky and the plane of sea merge into a line of silver, as if they had been fused into a limitless splinter of brilliance. You will discover the rich history and culture embedded in the ancient Stone Town. The twisted alleyways lead to the market where stalls fill almost every square inch of the street – selling everything from exotic fruits to rich fabrics. Stone Town’s Indo-Arabian inspired architecture creates a vibrant urban backdrop for memorable summer evenings.

TOUR ITINERARY

Day 1: Arusha

Your driver/guide will be waiting for you at the airport to transport you to your hotel. Today you can unwind and relax. The Safari Zanzibar experience will officially begin the following day.

Day 2: Arusha to Tarangire National Park

Encompassed by acacias and enormous baobab trees, the Tarangire National Park features spectacular wildlife and exquisite scenery. The Tarangire is a birdwatcher’s sanctuary, with flocks of birds soaring across the sky. The massive elephant herds dominate the grounds, and predators like lions, leopards, and cheetahs lurk nearby. A scrumptious dinner will be served at the chosen accommodation in the Karatu area.

Day 3: Karatu – Serengeti National Park

After breakfast, embark on your journey to the Serengeti National Park. The Serengeti is famous for the annual wildebeest migration, where thousands of hooves instinctively strike the ground. You may encounter lions, gazelle, buffalo, cheetahs, and more. Tonight’s accommodation is within the Serengeti.

Day 4: Serengeti National Park

Begin your day with an exhilarating morning game drive through the central Serengeti. The day will be spent exploring the vast plains. Elephants, giraffes, zebras, and many more can be viewed throughout the year. After the game drive, an appetizing dinner will be served at your accommodation in the Serengeti.

Day 5: Serengeti National Park to Ngorongoro Crater

Another morning game drive in the Serengeti awaits. After lunch, you will continue to the rim of the Ngorongoro Crater, where you will overnight with a spectacular view over the caldera.

Day 6: Ngorongoro Crater to Lake Manyara National Park

In the morning, descend into the Ngorongoro Crater for a game drive on the crater floor. Expect to see lions, elephants, flamingos, and more. Overnight at Mto wa Mbu, near the entrance to Lake Manyara National Park.

Day 7: Lake Manyara National Park to Zanzibar

After breakfast, depart for a game drive in Lake Manyara National Park, where you’ll see stunning scenery and abundant wildlife. Later, transfer to Kilimanjaro Airport for your flight to Zanzibar. Upon arrival, a driver will transfer you to Kendwa for your beach retreat.

Days 8-11: Kendwa, Zanzibar

Enjoy the tranquil beach at your hotel. Relax with a range of water activities like snorkeling, scuba diving, and leisurely boat trips.

Day 12: Stone Town, Zanzibar

After breakfast, take a scenic route to Stone Town. You can opt for the Zanzibar Spice Tour (optional). Discover spices, herbs, and their traditional uses in medicine and cooking. End your day in Stone Town, where you’ll spend the night.

Day 13: Stone Town, Zanzibar

If you have chosen to do so, embark on a Stone Town history tour (optional). Visit iconic sites like the House of Wonders, Dr. Livingston’s house, and the Arab Fort. You’ll also experience the bustling markets filled with vibrant culture.

Day 14: Departure
