Mt. Meru, standing at 4,566 meters (14,980 feet), is Tanzania’s second-highest mountain and a stunning trekking destination. Located in Arusha National Park, it offers breathtaking scenery, diverse wildlife, and a challenging yet rewarding climb. Often used as acclimatization for Mt. Kilimanjaro, the trek to Meru’s summit takes 3–4 days, passing through lush forests, open grasslands, and rugged alpine landscapes.
